Rick Huntley


Rick Huntley a seasoned executive leadership consultant and coach, he successfully transforms managers to leaders in executive roles through learning processes for achieving organizational results. Rick advances and grows skills for building team and organizational cultures for leadership to emerge. Rick works with his clients to identify key leadership behaviors inherent to the executive that motivate peak performance, positively influencing engagement, innovation, and other key operating metrics.

Using a leadership assessment instrument that measures organization, team and individual leadership needs; Rick helps clients assess current state, utilizing the assessment data to develop a roadmap to assists with strategy development, turning leadership gaps into optimum leadership outcomes. He serves the leadership needs of clients in Africa, Europe, and Asia and throughout North and South America, including the countries of the West Indies.

A small sample of Rick Huntley’s clients include: the American Medical Association, AFCSME, Perot Systems, Harvard University, as well as government agencies and non-profit organizations. His current clients include the National Education Association, BP North America, the World Bank, and the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

A member of the Board of Directors of NTL Institute of Applied Behavioral Science, he chairs the Governance Committee and Member Engagement. Other involvement includes the instructional team of the highly regarded School of Public Affairs, Master’s of Science in Organization Development at American University.

Prior to developing an organization consulting practice, Rick held leadership positions at an international behavioral healthcare firm, where he provided management coaching, supervision, and staff training and development. In 1993, he created Outlook Psychotherapy and Consulting, a mental health practice, providing psychotherapy, corporate stress management training and Critical Incident Stress Management education.

Rick completed graduate study at Howard University in Washington, DC and earned a post-graduate certificate in Organization and Systems Development from the Gestalt Center for Organization and Systems Development in Cleveland.
